Okay…. With Christmas just around the corner all we can think about is the feast that begins Christmas day and continues well after, our well-deserved time off and doing absolutely NOTHING! But with that comes the un-doing of the hard work that we have put in throughout the year, disappointment and guilt. So while I’m not saying you can’t enjoy your break and eat the food you wait for all year (for me its my mum’s famous ice-cream cake!)… I am saying to avoid regret, you do have to make SMALL sacrifices.
This means simply making smarter choices….
We all love eating out when on holidays so instead of getting a coke get a coke zero… or instead of ordering a burger with loaded fries order a steak with steamed veggies. But hey, if you have been hanging out for that burger cut back on fats throughout the week. Its all about a bit of forward planning. Roughly estimate what your plans are and intuitively count your macros according.
So over your break keep this in mind. Trust me… come next year when your back to reality you will thank me!
